It’s A Brand New Day!

It’s A Brand New Day!

What kind of thoughts do you wake up with?

Are you an It’s A Brand New Day! kind of person? who, as they say “hits the ground running?”

Are you excited by all the possibility lying just in front of you and around every corner?

Can’t wait to get to yesterday’s unfinished project?

Ready to begin something new?

If you spend any amount of time with me you will know that I absolutely love new beginnings.

That being the case, I consider myself It’s A Brand New Day! kind of person.

I feel like every day is a new opportunity to push the reset button – New Beginnings!

….Make some new choices.

….Do something new.

….Release what no longer works.

….Do something a different way.

….Learn something new.

….Pick up where I left off.

Don’t get me wrong, I love sleeping in as often as I can.  There is nothing quite like waking up on your own, feeling well rested from a good night’s sleep, in your own time.  Nothing beats easing into your day.

But once you’re up, what’s on your mind?

Did you plan out today’s actions last night or at the beginning of the week?

Or, do you want to hide under the covers and never want to get out of bed?

Why would you not want to get up?

Could it be you are not going to bed early enough so you get enough rest?

This seems like an easy fix.

Look at what’s going on in your life and see what things are keeping you up when you should be sleeping.  Is what you are doing worth not getting enough rest?  If, so, I guess you keep on doing what it do!

If not, you may have some decisions to make.

It may be you hate what is in your life, and what you do, and find it hard to get your day started?

This seems like a wake-up call to me.

This too is fixable, if you want to fix it.

If you do not like what you see around you in your life, the first thing I need you to do is, Take Responsibility For Your Life!

Everything going on in your life has you stamped all over it.  Not me.  Not your mate, not your parents. Nobody. Nada.  Nothing.  Not even God!

It’s all you!

Nobody but you is responsible for what you’ve got going on in your life.

Don’t like it?

Change it!

Take Responsibility For YOU!

Take an honest look at your shit!

So this won’t be an overwhelming task for you, just choose one thing that is not to your liking in your life, to reflect on.

What is the one thing right now, that if your could find some way to change it and make it better, you would?

Good.  We’re making progress.

Pick that shit up and turn it around in your mind.  Look at it from the top to the bottom.  Look all around it.  Look from left to right.  Inside of it and outside of it.

Trace what you are holding in front of you back to it’s roots, where it all started from, and really examine that shit!

What is it?

How did it get here?

Was it a choice you made that led to this situation, event, thing?

Or, did you not make a choice, or a decision?  You do know that even when you do not make a choice, you still did choose by default?

A choice made by default, by not making a choice, usually always end up being the worst choice imaginable with the worst possible outcome.

Just about every thing in our lives is here because of a choice we made – or – did not make!

Now, the next step after doing this investigation is to determine who created this shit!

EVERY THING IN YOUR LIFE GOT HERE BY CHOICE!

If you are ready for A Brand New Day! feeling, and experience today, and for the rest of your life, get real serious here and tell me whose name is stamped all over this big ball of shit you just finished examining?

If you can recognize yourself as the reason  why this thing is in your life, you creative genius, you are well on your way to beginning to create some magic!

You now know what choice, or series of choices you made to bring what is now unwanted into your life.

You now hold the power to change it all up.

Make a new choice, or series of choices and create some new possibilities.

Speaking of magic, do you know the legend of the great wizards who were able to transform (change) iron, brass or any base metal  into gold?  These great magicians were also known as Alchemists.

Making new choices puts you right up there with these great Alchemic Wizards.

Let’s go alchemize (change) some shit into Gold!

One other thing I want you to know is that fertilizing our land, and the things we grow, gives them strength, vigor and produces a bountiful harvest.

Do you know what fertilizer is?  It’s manure.  It’s SHIT!  Usually cow shit.

Out of the nasty comes beauty and new life.  Out of the shit!

Out of the chaos and confusion comes peace and Blessings.  Out of the shit!

You now have the ability to take all the shit you have in your life, stomp merrily all over it, and transform that shit into the fertilizer you need to feed your mind, body and soul with the strength and vigor you require to produce great harvests in your life!

Did somebody say magic?

I feel like, getting started on this process of transforming shit into a life you desire, is enough to begin living your life like It’s A Brand New Day!

Peace.. Love.. Blessings.

Clutter

How does what once excited you, over time, become clutter?

How does it lose it’s value?

How does it claim permanence in your life space?

It becomes like a fixture you can’t easily get rid of.

It becomes a reflection of dreams, hopes and ideas that you know in your soul you can make magic with.

But you didn’t.

Yet.

Always hopeful you, still sees the value, even though you haven’t touched some of the stuff in years.

It’s like when your closet and drawers are filled to overflowing with clothes and shoes you haven’t worn in decades.

Yes.

Literally decades.

They don’t fit any more!

Some of them never did.

But still you keep them.

You hang on to them.

Why?

Is it hopefulness?

It’s more often than not, just not facing up to your current reality.

You’ve outgrown the clothes.

The clutter.

Sure they still look good.

But the truth is, they don’t fit you!

There is still value.

Just not to you!

There is no longer any use for what you have been holding on to, especially when you have not touched, them, worn them, used them at all.

How do we release what no longer works?

It ain’t easy!

Especially when you start examining them and your mind fills up with the possibility, the promise of what could be.

Key words.

Could be.

When you’re a glass half full kind of person and you always see what is possible, the dreams and visions you had of what could be come rushing back to the surface.

You start trying things on again to see if they still fit.

They don’t.

You still feel emotionally connected and can’t make yourself move on and get rid of what does not serve any purpose now.

Yes.

Now.

Our mind begins playing games with us telling ourselves that we’ll lose those few inches so we can make the thing fit.

We know we can do it.

Reality check.

The only thing we know is this thing no longer fits.

We’re talking about all of the stuff that no longer fit: physical, emotional, mental, spiritual, the people, the places, the situations, the habits, the behaviors.  Everything.

It no longer has a place in our lives.

It has become clutter.

Let her go.

It is taking up valuable space in our life, on our shelf, hanging in our closet, in the bag in the corner, in our drawer where there is now no space for what actually does fit.

How do we accept the fact that it has lost it’s value?

It doesn’t work.

But it still feels comfortable.

But that’s not true.

Every time you look at those piles of paper, you feel heavy because it’s been sitting there so long reminding you of what you have not done yet.

But, there is always yet.

Always hope.

Get over it.

Pick it up.

Look at it.

Ask it, and yourself, how do you fit into my life now?

Often what you will find is just the promise of what it can be one day.

One day is not likely to happen.

Not for this dress.

This information.

This thing.

Let her go.

She has spent more than enough time and space in your life.

She served to get you excited about a possibility about a promise of what could be.

Yet, she just did not fit at the time which is why we carefully placed her aside for safe keeping, where she has sat all this time

All these years.

She still doesn’t fit.

Let her go.

Open up space for who you are now.

For what is working now.

For who you are being now.

Or, for who you really can be now.

Do not allow her to make you feel like you can still make what has not, what will not, work.

You can’t.

You haven’t.

You won’t.

She is a distraction.

She is taking up time, space and energy which does not have a real place in your life.

She was a treasure for a long time.

She is now trash.

It is time to toss the trash.

The beliefs.  The behaviors.  The relationships. Everything that no longer has a place in your life.

Which does not serve you.

Let her go.

Let go of the clutter so you have room and space to breath life into what is working in your life right now.

Let it all go!

Let Go Of What No Longer Works!

Make room for now.

I honestly can not tell you how much more you will accomplish, how much more you will be, because I am right now sitting in the middle of years of clutter, which I know is holding me back from my full greatness, just because of the space and attention it is taking up in my life.

I promise to give you a full report when I can let go of my attachment for all of my what could have been, and just let them go.

Just like the things that are taking up physical space, I just needed to release these heavy thoughts and emotions that no longer serve me, so I can move on.

OUT WITH THE OLD

Out with the old.

In with the new.

This is what we do.

Willingly. Or, not.

Knowingly. Or, not.

New ways of being. New ways of doing the things we do. New reasons for doing the things we do.

No room for stagnancy.

It may not seem like things are changing, but all things are always changing.

Although things might look the same, they are always in a state of changing.

People, places, things, situations, ways of looking at things, feelings, ways of being.

All things are constantly changing.

There is not really much you have to do, because you can’t stop the change.

Life is designed this way.

We fight it. Yes, we spend way more time than is necessary trying to fight the change. Stop the change. Not change. But change you will. Change you are. Change is the name of the living game. And it is good. Good for you. Good for your life. Good for those around you. Good for the world.

And so it is.

What is it about change that is so scary? That makes the hairs stand up on the back of our necks? That makes us want to hold on tightly to what is known, what is comfortable, to that which no longer fits, to that which is, one way or the other, on it’s way out of our existence?

Change is elusive, subtle, often hard to see coming.

That is what shakes us up about change. We don’t always see it coming.

The truth is, we don’t want to accept that things are changing.

We like, and think, we want everything to stay just the way it is.

It won’t!

We don’t wake up saying “things are changing today”.

We don’t think like that, but we should.

If things stayed the same, we would, all of us, remain infants, not ever growing into the wonderful beings we are all destined to be, and become.

That’s exactly what change is.

It is our destiny.

We are here to grow. Evolve. Become more. Be expansive. Build. Create. Change the world, and who and how we are in it.

OUT WITH THE OLD. IN WITH THE NEW!

Out with the old. In with the new is the order of the day.

It sounds good to me.

The thought can be scary, because nothing remains the same.

It’s not meant to be.

Life is comfortable. It gets to be comfortable. Then change shows up and turns everything you have ever known upside down.

Even when you don’t see change coming, it always is.

That being the case, perhaps we can kind of prepare for it by actively thinking a new thought. Making a new choice. Wanting a new thing. Expecting a new thing. Taking control of the fact that since life, my life, your life, our lives are changing anyway, I, you, me, we, us, can use this happening any way, no matter what, phenomenon to our advantage.

Remove the fear out of change and replace it with expectancy.

Think that new thought, expect that new outcome, see the way, the how you have no idea is there, show up guiding you in the change you are always becoming.

Play with it.

Open yourself up to the possibility. The opportunity. The fun. The change. The profit. The richness. The reward. Even the craziness of it.

Change you will. Change you must. There is no way around it. So you might as well, instead of fighting change, embrace it and allow the good things in.

Change is, in the end, always good to, and for you.

Seasons change. It might be winter now but next comes spring. After spring comes summer. After summer comes fall. Fall changes into winter.

Change.

Always changing.

That’s change.

Predictable.

Steady.

Flowing.

Out with the old. In with the new.

It is a natural rhythm.

After the night time comes the day.

Everything, that is life, about life, in life, is always changing.

Even the breath you take.

Let change be as easy as breathing in a new breath of air and releasing, exhaling all that is used up and no longer serving you.

Shedding what no longer works and picking up, putting on all that is making everything about you and your life better.

This is simply a reminder to you, because we often times rarely think about things changing, that change is the name of the game we are always playing. Whether you want it to, or not. Whether you like it or not.

Understanding, knowing and expecting change is what makes change so much easier. Allows you a sense of control about it. And might just light you up along the path of change. Allowing you to roll with change, becoming, growing, evolving, expanding, being better, being all of you, playing with the possibilities, opportunities, with all the things calling, and pulling you forward.

Change is in the air.

Always.

And so,

Out With The Old.

In With The New.

Cheers to the breath of fresh air that is change in your life, in my life, in our lives.

Change!
