What Is In Your Mind, Your Heart And Your Spirit Today?

It is important to take a few minutes to take a look at what is in your mind, heart and spirit.

First of all, our human body is beyond understanding.  What we know intellectually is just a drop in the bucket.

It pays to tap into the whole of who we are: mind, body, spirit.

We are not just a mind.  We are not just a body.  We are not just  spirit, although this is the largest part of who we are.  This is the real Holy Trinity.  Mind. Body. Soul.  This is your Father. Son. Spirit.  If I remember correctly, the Roman Catholic faith used to say: Father. Son. Holy Ghost.

Just saying Ghost is scary. Ghosts  are associated with some uncontrollable force that does what it wants.  I’m not trying to give up any of my power to anything I cannot control.

As complex as our Mind, Body and Soul are, we are in complete control.

So what is in Your Mind, Your Heart and Your Spirit today?

Looks like the trinity is the secret to creation.

Thought.  Word.  Action.  Another powerful trinity.  Thought. Word. Action.  This is how we turn thoughts into things.  Creation.  First comes the thought.  We put words to the idea.  Next is action.  Every thought becomes something we get to experience.   This is manifestation.

This is what we came for.

This is our purpose for life on earth.  We are creators.  Be fruitfull and multiply.  Make shit happen.  We are all fruitfull vines.  We make all kinds of shit happen.  We turn thoughts into things.  We are manifestors.

The question is?  Whose thoughts are you turning into things? Are you focused on your own thoughts inside your mind, heart and spirit?  Or, are they somebody else’s thoughts?

It is easy to give up our creative power and control to all the things we see, hear, taste, touch, read and are told.

Most time our minds are filled with every body else’s thoughts and stuff.

Our mothers tell us to use our inside voices and be good little boys and girls.  Because of that we put the breaks on our spirits.  Good little boys and girls don’t do things that make us feel good.   A lot of teachers tell us the same thing.

They mean well.

They cage our creativity.  We lose our dream.  It is hard to soar when our dream  belongs to somebody else.

Every one feel like they know what is best for us, and they make sure we know it.

You are the only one who knows what is best for you.

Our minds are filled with stuff to do.

We live in a dynamic world which has no shortage of things to attract our attention.  We look at this. We try that. We keep a growing list of things we just have to do.  We chase every thing we can.

When do we stop chasing other people’s thoughts?  Chasing gets tiring.  We never  catch up to someone else’s expectation.

We don’t know how to mind our own business!

My advise is to spend some time looking inside your mind, your heart and your spirit for the thoughts that belongs to you.  Turn your thoughts into things that will delight and surprise you because they belong to you.

Is Ignorance Bliss?

Yes.

Ignorance is bliss!

There is so much freedom in not knowing any more than we do.

Life is exactly like you say it is.

When you know more, you are accountable for more.

When you do not know there is more, you are not required to do more.

What you are doing works, and no matter what is going on, even if it does not make you feel good, it is okay, because it is what it is.

It is what it was yesterday, and you can count on life being the same tomorrow.

Granted, nothing is ever really the same from day to day, or even from minute to minute, but it is basically the same when what you know is what you know.

There is predictability and a sense of stability.

We develop coping mechanisms for the turbulence that shows up.

The rough patches.

It sounds like the movie “Groundhog Day” where you wake up living the same exact thing over, and over, and over again, down to the smallest detail.

Abusing Power, Knowing, Is Hurtful!

But that’s okay.

It is okay because you do not know there is any thing else.

Life lived in a rut that you can’t see, so it doesn’t matter.

It is even a good life.

Things are going well.

What happens in the movie “Groundhog Day” is that a man wakes up!

He wakes up every day and life is exactly the same as it was yesterday.

To put it in context, the man was somewhat of an asshole before waking up on this morning.

He wanted what he wanted, how he wanted it, and nothing, or nobody else, mattered.

So he goes through this first day of awakening, and sees the sameness in every person, situation and event.

Kind of weird.

He quickly realizes no one else is aware that nothing, not even the day on the calendar has changed.

Being the person he has always been, he sees opportunity to take advantage.

It is also somewhat predictable that knowing something someone else does not know, makes it easy to take advantage of those who do not share your knowledge.

What a shame.

It is true.

It is also true that the abuse of knowledge is dangerous when you use that power to manipulate people, situations and events.

It is an unfair advantage.

Sort of a home court advantage.

This can seem okay to you for while if you are completely heartless.

In this movie, the man had been looking for something more in his life.

Life was okay, but he could feel something was missing.

He was not even aware that he was looking for something more.

It was just time for his awakening.

Something just didn’t feel right to him.

He felt like he should have had more.

He should have been more.

But he had no idea what any of it meant.

Life, the Universe, God, have many ways to wake you up, for your own good.

Of course in this move,  a love interest shows up.

Developing feelings for someone else, especially someone who cares about others, can cause a callous, insensitive, non-caring person to begin to start asking himself, or herself, some new questions.

It allows this person to start seeing who, and how they have been living, behaving, and treating other people.

This character slowly, but sure, begins seeing the life he had been living was exactly the reason why he had been having those feelings of discontent, like something had been missing from his life.

There is a meaningness to life that comes with genuinely caring for other people, and being helpful rather than being a hindrance, and hurtful, to others.

Life is just better.

Sweeter.

Whether you believe it or not, we are our brother’s, and our sister’s keeper.

When you know this, life has purpose.

There is meaning.

You feel good doing, and being good for others and yourself.

He, himself, begins changing who he is day, by day, among the sameness, and starts, over time, to value the people, situations and events in the midst of the sameness, because now, for him, nothing is the same.

He becomes that person who is more, and life becomes more to, and for him.

Yes!

He even gets the girl, because now he is worthy of the best life has to offer him.

So yes, ignorance is bliss, but life is so much better when you have eyes to see.

When you know better, you do better.

P.S.

Watch the movie “Groundhog Day” starring Tom Hanks.  I can almost guarantee you will love it!

Tenacity

Tenacity.

One word.

Tenacity is the power and the ability to hold on, no matter what!

The dictionary says tenacity is:

  • the quality or fact of being able to grip something firmly; grip.
  • the quality or fact of being very determined; determination.
  • the quality or fact of continuing to exist; persistence.
  • What a wonderful word!

    What a horrible word!

But tenacious is what we are. You. Me. Us. All of us!

We hold on tight to what ever it is we are believing in at any moment in time. Nothing can dissuade us from the thing we have chosen to hold on to.

Hold On Tight! Never Let Go! Be Tenacious

    Nothing.

And it is a good thing.

This is the power of choice.

    And, we are always choosing.

There is absolutely no right, or wrong in this because it is personal.

Personal to you. Personal to me. Personal to each and every one of us.

I cannot make you let go of the thing you are tenaciously holding on to, nor can you make me.

    How powerful is that?

    How powerful you are!

Yes. We can be judged for whatever, and even everything we tenaciously hold on to.

    Judgement doesn’t matter.

When you don’t care about what someone thinks, or says about you, that is true power, and, absolute freedom.

You will not bend, or break, to mold to any outside force.

Hold tight to your beliefs. They serve you in whatever capacity you are needing in this moment.

Tenacity is an awesome ability to develop and strengthen.

The good thing about tenacity, as in all things, is that we will in time come to know if the thing we are fiercely holding on to is worth our time and energy.

As the very wise saying goes – YOU WILL NEVER GET IT DONE, AND, YOU WILL NEVER GET IT WRONG!

This means you will forever grow and evolve.

    So go for it!

Since we can never truly know what is right or wrong with someone else, do what you do with everything you have to give. In other words, be as tenacious as you can be!

Give your everything for that which you believe in because you will never get it done, and, you will never get it wrong!

You will hit the pavement, or, you will soar!

Either way, you will give all you have to give to living your life.

There is no life without something to believe in. Something to fully commit to.

Something to hold as life or death to you.

    Because it is.

You die trying or you die because you did not try.

Own your life, be tenacious, and give it everything you have to give!

Your very life depends on it!

    No judgement.

You are absolutely free to own every belief, every choice, and every decision.

There isn’t any other way, and no one can change it, no matter how hard they try.

Here’s to you, to your tenacity, to holding on to your beliefs, and to being the most powerful, awesome you that you already are!
